The research lines included in the group are:
- Territorial and Urban Governance: Participation and coordination processes to improve decision-making in planning and territorial management.
- Territorial Planning and Sustainable Local Development Planning: Preparation and preparation of territorial and urban planning plans, Strategic Territorial Plans, AL21, Rural Development Plans, tourism … Mapping.
- Integrated Coastal Zone Management: Development of strategies and plans for the management of coastal and maritime-coastal spaces, ecosystem-based management approach; adapted to climate change and the natural risks associated with it.
- Analysis and Evaluation of Public Policies and Governance: Evaluation of Territorial Impact of policies; presentation and selection of alternatives, preparation of scenarios and aid to decision making.
- Territorial and Urban Observatories: Bases and requirements for territorial observation for continuous assessment of plans and territorial, environmental and landscape impacts.
- Government and local management: Analysis, diagnosis and planning in local administration, proposals of management model (traditional, managerial, mixed), and its implementation in internal regulations.
- Local Governance: Analysis, diagnosis and planning in relation to the creation of networks such as mancomunidades, consorcios or other type (agreements, foundations, joint ventures) to implement services to citizens.
- Electoral behavior: Analysis of behavior and results in electoral processes.
- Political participation: Analysis, diagnosis and proposals for improvement regarding the channels of citizen participation in government and local administration.
- Economic management and human resources: Planning in relation to the management of economic resources and human resources of the municipality or local entity.
- Analysis of local public policies: Sectoral studies on public policies developed by the municipality, whether traditional policies, economic development and promotion, social welfare, territorial government or emerging policies.
- Local e-government: Implementation of new information and communication technologies in government and local administration.
